PANAMA: Martinelli challenged over security

President Ricardo Martinelli is facing criticism on various fronts over the apparent increasing militarisation of Panama’s security forces – always a sensitive issue in the country which abolished its army in 1990, following the US invasion that overthrew the military dictatorship (1968-1989).
