COSTA RICA: Boosting relations with China
In late September Vice President Luis Liberman announced a financing deal with China for the expansion of Route 32, the main highway between the capital San José and Limón on the Caribbean coast. Costa Rica will receive US$400m for a 20-year term, including an interest-only grace period of three to four years.
