Nicaragua nabs one of FBI’s most wanted. On 22 April Nicaragua’s police chief, Aminta Granera, announced the capture of a US fugitive, Eric Justin Toth, a former school teacher accused of possessing and producing child pornography. According to Granera, Toth was captured on 20 April in the Panamá Soberana area of Estelí city, some 156km from the capital Managua. The arrest of Toth, who was added to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)’s ten most wanted fugitives list in April 2012, is a boost for the Nicaraguan authorities. According to the FBI, Toth has been on the run since 2008 when warrants for his arrest were issued in Maryland and the District of Columbia. There was a reward of up to US$100,000 for information leading directly to his arrest.
