REGION: Caribbean lagging on FDI

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Eclac) last month produced its report on foreign direct investment (FDI) in the region for 2012. The headline figure is that FDI for the Caribbean was up 39% in 2012, against 12% for South America in 2012, 7% for Central America, and a retreat of 35% in Mexico.
