President Juan Manuel Santos is bouncing back in the opinion polls. In a survey released by the national daily El Tiempo on 13 October his approval rating stood at 41%, up seven percentage points on a month earlier. Santos will announce before 25 November whether he plans to seek re-election in May 2014.
