the ruling Frente Amplio (FA), is making all the headlines again for ill-judged
remarks. Just days after Mujica was overly candid in an interview with the
Argentine daily La Nación about the Uruguayan judiciary [WR-09-37], a
journalist published a book based on 'off the record' conversations with him.

With elections just one month away, the focus has diverted away from electoral
proposals and on to Mujica's gaffes: the overriding question is whether they are
a political asset - an endearing sign of his honesty and integrity, or render
him a political liability - unprofessional and tactless. End of preview - This article contains approximately 603 words.
