MEXICO | Current account. The Banco de México says that it believes the current account deficit in 2009 will be approximately US$5.2bn (or a negligible 0.6% of GDP). This is largely a result of a major fall in imports. The bank is forecasting that the current account deficit in 2010 will more than double to US$11.7bn.
