MEXICO: Indigenous women released

Two indigenous women, wrongly convicted of holding six policemen hostage in Querétaro state in 2006, were released from prison this week. This campaign was backed by several leading Mexican politicians, most notably Manlio Fabio Beltrones, the leader of the main opposition Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) in the senate.
