Yet another human rights report – published in early June by the Open Society Justice Initiative in collaboration with five Mexican civil-society groups – has been severely critical of both the current Mexican government and its predecessor. Despite the title of the report “Undeniable atrocities – confronting crimes against humanity in Mexico” its main findings have in fact been denied in a joint statement from the ministries of the interior, defence, and the office of the attorney general (Procuradoría General de la República – PGR).
