* Following the major earthquake (7.1 in the Richter scale) that shook central Mexico, the state-owned oil firm, Pemex, has announced that it can guarantee petrol fuel supply to all the affected areas of the country, which include Mexico City (CDMX), the Estado de México (Edomex), Puebla, and Morelos states. A Pemex statement said that the quake had not affected any of its fuel production, storage, or distribution facilities and it urged the population in the affected areas not to resort to panic buying of fuel.
