Development: Today (6 November) the head of Nicaragua’s electoral authorities (CSE), Roberto Rivas, released preliminary results indicating that President Daniel Ortega’s Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional (FSLN) led-alliance, Alianza Unida, Nicaragua Triunfa, had easily won the 5 November municipal elections.
