Rousseff's nominations. President Dilma Rousseff nominated the former president of Brazil's central bank, Henrique Meirelles, to preside over the Autoridade Pública Olímpica, which will coordinate R$30bn (US$18bn) of public and private investments for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. She also nominated Luiz Fux to take over the seat in the supreme court of Eros Grau, who retired. With the former, Rousseff followed a direct request from her predecessor Lula da Silva. Fux was chosen because Rousseff wanted Lula's favourite for the post, Luiz Inácio Adams, to remain as attorney general of her government.
