*According to Alfonso Romo, Mexico’s President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s top economic adviser and chief-of-staff nominee, López Obrador and his team will hear the concerns of business leaders from the private sector lobby Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE) at a meeting on 4 July. Discussions will touch on macroeconomic issues, industrial policy, and a new international airport, but no proposals will be presented. The meeting follows on from a conference call between proposed finance minister Carlos Urzúa and representatives from more than 400 investment funds on 2 July.
