* Mexico’s consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.52% in October bringing annual inflation to 4.9%, according to the national statistics institute (Inegi). During the same month in 2017 the CPI was 0.63% and annual inflation 6.4%. The 2018 inflation rate is still well above the target of 3% set by the Banco de México (Banxico), which is expected to raise interest rates in a meeting on 15 November.
