* Brazil’s central bank (BCB) has released the latest figures for its monthly economic activity index (IBC-Br), which show that economic growth reached 1.14% in the first nine months of 2018. In seasonally adjusted terms, the September IBC-Br has remained stable, presenting a 0.09% decrease on August 2018, while economic growth totalled 1.74% in the third quarter of 2018 compared with April-June. The IBC-Br is used as an indication of GDP growth figures, currently projected to reach 1.4% in 2018 according to the BCB.
