*** IMF SOFTENS GROWTH FORECAST FOR BAHAMAS. In May the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was projecting GDP growth for the Bahamas in 2018 of 2.5%. In December, following its latest staff visit, it dropped this forecast to 2.3%. For 2019, it also reduced its forecast growth from 2.25% to 2.1%.
