* Brazil and Peru have made a joint declaration on energy cooperation, reaffirming their intention to deepen bilateral cooperation in energy planning, dam security, small-scale mining, renewable energies, radioactive materials, and personnel training. The declaration was made by Brazil’s energy & mines minister, Bento Albuquerque, and his Peruvian counterpart, Francisco Atilio Ísmodes Mezzano, in Toronto, Canada, on the sidelines of an annual mining industry event, the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention.
