In brief: Peru

* Peru’s national exporters’ association (Adex) has reported that the country’s exports totalled US$3.68bn in January, a 7.2% year-on-year fall. According to an Adex report the fall in exports was a consequence of lower shipments of minerals and oil and its derivatives, which fell by 13.3% year-on-year to US$2.46bn. In contrast, non-traditional exports in the first month of the year reached US$1.2bn, an 8.2% increase.
