MEXICO: Despite 'México Seguro', drug-related violence rises

Playing up one aspect of the 'México Seguro' campaign - the drive against the warring drug cartel bosses - in response to vocal US 'concern' about violence on the border has left the results of the other aspect - the drive against the retail end of the drugs trade - looking distinctly underwhelming. To make matters worse, the drug-related violence has actually continued to rise.
