In brief: Mexico

* Mexico’s state-owned oil firm, Pemex, has announced that it will revise the contracts that it has awarded to private firms for the repair of its pipelines affected by illegal taps. A Pemex statement said that the firm has decided to revise the contracts it has in place with five separate companies, worth M$476.52m (US$24.46m), amid suspicions that they may be working in collusion with the oil thieves behind the illegal taps in a bid to keep their contracts active.
