* In a tweet, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has revealed plans to develop six oil refineries which are currently functioning at 30% capacity. A photo of President López Obrador surrounded by refinery workers was taken on a visit to the plant in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas state, where he plans to invest M$3.5bn (US$181m) to get the plant up and running again after it has spent over a year practically disused. According to the tweet, investments are being made in a move to “stop buying oil from abroad”.
