Sheinbaum encouraged by first 100 days as CDMX mayor

On 17 March, Mexico City (CDMX) Governor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo released an assessment of her first 100 days in office at a conference at Mexico’s City’s Esperanza Iris theatre. Sheinbaum has overseen a number of changes since taking office, with her term thus far characterised by rolling back the policies of her predecessor, Miguel Ángel Mancera (2012-2018), and unveiling plans to tackle the major issues facing the city – all while attempting to overhaul the image of the CDMX government. In her speech she highlighted her administration’s achievements and spoke of her frustration at progress towards improving the public security situation.
