MEXICO: Trump softens stance on border but causes concerns over trade

On 4 April, US President Donald Trump said that he would give Mexico a year to stop illegal migration of Central Americans into the US, after which he would slap import tariffs on cars, backtracking on earlier threats of imminent plans to close the US southern border.
