Mexico: Violence still on the increase

The murder rate reached an all-time high in the first three months of the presidency of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO). The president is still enjoying his political honeymoon, with high approval ratings, but the increased levels of violence will at some point begin to play a role as a political liability.
