COLOMBIA: Senate starts JEP debate

This week the Colombian senate began to discuss whether to accept or reject President Iván Duque’s partial veto of the law regulating the transitional justice system (JEP). The veto has already been rejected by the lower chamber of congress. The senate must now resolve the issue by 20 June at the latest.
