BRAZIL: The supreme court: self-sabotaging?

Brazil’s judiciary has once again found itself in the midst of a scandal, with the federal supreme court (STF) accused of censorship after Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered last week that two news sites take down an article implying that the STF president, Justice José Antonio Dias Toffoli, was implicated in corrupt dealings. Although Moraes has since reversed the decision, following widespread condemnation, the STF and its reputation remain shaken by the episode.
