Sebastián Piñera spent the second day of his state visit to China in Beijing. There, he focused on promoting economic collaboration between Chile and China, specifically in artificial intelligence, technology, and wine. Piñera toured the offices of Didi, a Chinese ride-sharing company, expected to begin operation in Chile this year. This was President Piñera’s second visit to China, which is Chile’s largest trading partner (27.8% of Chilean trade). Piñera expressed his desire for Chile to be China’s centre for Latin American business. Over the next two days, Piñera will attend the Second Belt and Road Forum, which will discuss China's program that funds infrastructure projects for its trading partners.
