Bloomberg news agency, eight Argentine securities are set to join MSCI Inc’s emerging market stocks benchmarks.
Bloomberg reports that MSCI, which announced the addition of Argentina to its emerging market index last June, said the stocks will join its indexes as of the close of trading on 28 May. Argentina will account for 0.26% of the MSCI Emerging Markets index.
Bloomberg notes that MSCI is the world’s biggest index compiler and its emerging-markets index is the most important for the asset class.
