* Speaking at a press conference in Canada with Canada’s foreign minister Chrystia Freeland, Mexico’s economy minister Graciela Márquez said that Mexico is preparing to place tariffs on new US products. Mexico and Canada already imposed tariffs on various US products last year in response to the duties imposed by the US administration led by President Donald Trump on Mexican and Canadian steel and aluminium. Márquez said that she already had a list of new products on which tariffs would be applied if the US does not remove the duties on steel and aluminium.
