* Brazil’s central bank (BCB) has released the latest figures for its index of economic activity (IBC-Br), an indication of GDP growth, which confirm an economic contraction in the first quarter of the year. The IBC-Br contracted by 0.68% from January-March compared with the previous quarter. Economic activity in March contracted 0.28% compared with February.
