COLOMBIA & NEIGHBOURS: More 'spillovers' test ability to prevent confrontation

Three more crossborder 'spillovers' within less than a fortnight suggest that the most recent developments in the Colombian conflict will sorely test the existing mechanisms for keeping such incidents from triggering interstate confrontations. Of the three new incidents, one was a further alleged Colombian incursion into Ecuadorean airspace, but the other two were in the opposite direction: a Farc attack purportedly launched from Peru and an alleged Ecuadorean incursion into Colombian airspace.
