* Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has met with Lakshmi Mittal, the president of ArcelorMittal SA, the world’s largest steel manufacturing corporation which owns the Lázaro Cárdenas-Las Truchas steel mill in Mexico’s Michoacán State. The meeting was also attended by the company’s executive director in Mexico, Víctor Cairo, and Mexican government officials including economy minister Graciela Márquez; deputy economy minister Ernesto Acevedo; and the head of the office for the presidency, Alfonso Romo, among others. According to local press reports, those present discussed the possibility of ArcelorMittal SA making further investments in Mexico.
