* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the latest figures for its indicator of global economic activity (Igae), a measure of GDP growth. The Igae increased by just 0.1% in April compared to March 2019. This was driven by 1.5% monthly growth in the secondary sector, while primary and tertiary sector activities contracted 2.6% and 0.3%, respectively. Year-on-year, the Igae grew 0.3% in April, with 1.9% growth in the primary sector and 0.5% growth in the tertiary sector, while the secondary sector recorded a 0.4% year-on-year contraction.
