HONDURAS: Hernández wields hammer while urging peace

Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández led a ‘march for peace’ on 22 June in Tegucigalpa, organised by the ruling Partido Nacional (PN). It came at the end of a week of violent protests in the capital and beyond, claiming three lives. This resulted in a violent incident involving the PMOP on the campus of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), during which at least four students were injured.
