In brief: Panama

* Panama’s trade & industry ministry (MICI) has announced that eight products have been removed from the list of foods subject to price controls – a measure which came into force on 7 July for a maximum duration of six months. The eight products affected are: meat cuts, lentils, beans, eggs, tuna, pork chop, and pasta while 14 others still remain subject to price controls. These include bone-in bone steak, first-rate ground beef, whole chickens, premium rice, and yellow onions, amongst others.
