In brief: Colombia coffee production up 5.4%

* The national federation of Colombian coffee producers (FCN) has reported that national coffee production was up 5.4% in the first seven months of the year, harvesting 8m 60-kilo bags, compared with 7.6m bags harvested between January and July 2018. The FNC figures show that coffee exports were up 9.5% during January-July this year, with a total of 7.7m bags exported, compared with the 7.05m bags exported in the first seven months of 2018.
