In brief: Peru’s GDP grows 2.62% in June

* Peru’s national statistics institute (INEI) has revealed new figures which show GDP growth in June 2019 was 2.62% in annual terms. It also shows that GDP grew by 1.73% in the first six months of the year. In its latest forecast released at the end of July the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America & the Caribbean (Eclac) predicts 3.2% GDP growth for Peru in 2019.
