ARGENTINA: Economic crisis fuels public protests
On 15 August thousands of protesters took to the centre of Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires to demonstrate against the economic instability that has gripped the country in the four days since the heavy defeat in the party primary elections (Paso) suffered by President Mauricio Macri against the radical Peronist ticket comprising Alberto Fernández and former president Cristina Fernández (2007-2015).
