MEXICO: UN criticises violence against journalists

On 26 August Jan Jarab, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, said Mexico was not doing enough to protect journalists and community activists. Only two days earlier the body of Nevith Condés Jaramillo, a journalist in Estado de Mexico (Edomex) had been discovered: he had been stabbed to death.
