MEXICO | Pemex director expects increase in oil production. On 24 September, Octavio Romero, the general director of Mexico’s state-owned oil company Pemex, said during a press conference that he expects that oil production at the ‘Xiquin 22’ well in Tabasco state will start at the end of September, while production at new wells at the ‘Cibix’, ‘Valeriana’, and ‘Quesqui’ fields, also located in Tabasco, will come on-stream in October and November.
