BRAZIL: Another setback for Moro’s anti-crime package

On 8 October, an auditor in Brazil’s federal financial ombudsman, the Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU), ordered the suspension of the government’s advertising campaign for Justice & Public Security Minister Sérgio Moro’s ‘anti-crime package’ of public security bills, currently under discussion in the federal chamber of deputies.
