COLOMBIA: Local politics turning green?

Local elections held in Colombia on 27 October delivered many surprises. President Iván Duque, traditional political parties, and the former Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) guerrillas were among the losers. The centre-left Alianza Verde (AV), independents, anti-corruption campaigners, and supporters of the peace process were among the winners.
