Latin America as a whole has seen increasing internet connectivity, more availability of smartphones, and widespread investment in infrastructure, but there remains a long way to go. Logistics remains a problem in many areas, and slow deliveries reduce customer satisfaction with online purchases, while payment solutions suffer from low rates of bank account and credit card penetration in many areas. Many countries in the region also score poorly in terms of the ease of doing business, with inadequate regulations or weak property rights.
