In brief: Brazil growth to pick up after 2019 says OECD

* The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has reduced its forecast for Brazil’s 2019 GDP growth to 0.8%. In its latest economic outlook report, the OECD notes that Brazil’s gradual economic recovery is expected to gain momentum in 2020 and 2021 thanks to domestic factors, but it stresses that uncertainty remains around the implementation of reforms due to the fragmented political landscape.
