URUGUAY: A year of record cocaine seizures
Uruguayan anti-narcotics authorities were delivered a belated Christmas present on 26 and 27 December 2019 in the form of two massive cocaine seizures, together totalling around six tonnes (t). This aptly rounded off a year of important drug seizures, during which a total 12t of cocaine were confiscated according to national daily El País.
