VENEZUELA: Guaidó bids to revive pressure upon return

Juan Guaidó returned to Venezuela on 11 February. The opposition figurehead and widely recognised interim president had been out of the country for nearly four weeks on an ever-expanding tour which culminated in a visit to the White House six days earlier. As expected, despite being legally barred from leaving the country, Guaidó was not arrested upon his return. But neither did he stride back in unmolested.
