ARGENTINA: Pushing for change in the public security sphere

Argentina’s Peronist President Alberto Fernández had promised a radical shift from the public security policy espoused under his predecessor Mauricio Macri (2015-2019). In February, Fernández and his security minister, Sabina Frederic, moved forward on this, launching a new-look Consejo de Seguridad Interior (CSI, interior security council) alongside provincial authorities.
