REGION: Mitigating Caribbean disaster vulnerability key to progress

At the 11th Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) which took place in December 2019, the 18 participating states met to outline the objectives of CDM11 and reaffirm their commitment to previous agreements. The conference served as a platform to exhibit the best emerging disaster management practices and allowed political leaders, meteorologists, and environmental experts to debate what is one of the region’s most significant impediments to economic development.
