A Datafolha poll released on 28 May shows that President Jair Bolsonaro’s share of support amongst Brazilians remains steady, at 33%. However, his rejection rates are rising, with 43% of respondents considering his government to be bad or very bad, and 52% believing that he is unfit to lead the country. This reflects growing worries in Brazil over Bolsonaro’s response to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and his public expressions of contempt for the country’s democratic institutions.
