It may only be two weeks since Chile’s President Sebastián Piñera appointed Enrique Paris as his new health minister and promised changes in the way his administration has been trying to tackle the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. But as Covid-19 infections continue to rise at an alarming rate, Paris is already coming under public and political pressure to adjust the government’s strategy for containing the virus and adopt more drastic measures.
